According to consistent media reports, FC Bayern is interested in Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. Those responsible are said to have already presented the offensive player with an offer. However, a transfer should by no means be cheap.
As “Sky” reports, there was “a personal conversation” between Vincent Kompany and Max Eberl from FC Bayern and the players on Monday. In the meantime, the German record champions are said to have made a “written offer” to Saibari.
FC Bayern reportedly wants to first come to an agreement with the 25-year-old and then approach PSV Eindhoven. There is apparently no contact with the Dutch master yet. Saibari is under contract here until 2029.
How much would FC Bayern have to pay for Saibari?
Signing the Moroccan international player is unlikely to be cheap. Transfer reporter Ekrem Konur reported a possible price tag of around 50 million euros in April.
Saibari shone last season with 19 goals in 37 appearances. In the Champions League, the attacking midfielder scored in the 1-2 defeat in the league phase against FC Bayern. The right-footed player won the Dutch championship with PSV Eindhoven and was voted player of the season in the Eredivisie.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano initially reported Munich’s interest on Tuesday morning. According to the Italian journalist, Saibari is toying with a possible move to FC Bayern.
The Bundesliga club recently tried to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United. However, the Magpies’ quoted price tag was said to have been too high for FC Bayern. FC Barcelona ultimately won the race for the left winger and is reportedly set to transfer up to 80 million euros to northern England for it.
