According to reports, FC Bayern wants to strengthen its offensive in the summer. Although transfer candidate Anthony Gordon is off the market, the double winner has numerous other options. Apparently there is also a shooting star from the Premier League.
FC Bayern is showing great interest in signing Eli Junior Kroupi, a whiz kid in England from surprise sixth-place finisher AFC Bournemouth. This is what transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports.
According to the Italian, the German record champions picked up the phone in April to find out the conditions for a summer move for the 19-year-old on the island.
In the meantime, the international competition is said to have followed suit: Arsenal FC and Manchester City are now also said to have made their first telephone calls, and other top clubs such as Liverpool FC are showing great interest. Champions League winners PSG also had contact with Bournemouth, according to Romano. Now we have to wait and see how high the Cherries’ transfer fee will be.
Shooting star Kroupi could fit the Bayern profile
Eli Junior Kroupi was signed by French second division club FC Lorient for 13 million euros in February 2025 and was initially loaned out directly to his training club. The step into the Premier League followed last summer – the French U21 international mastered this with flying colors.
The 19-year-old striker impressed with 13 goals in 33 appearances for the surprise team AFC Bournemouth. Under coach Iraolo, who may be moving to Liverpool FC for the new season, he was primarily used as a center forward and as an attacking midfielder. Since the 1.79 meter tall right-footed player can also play on the left wing, he would probably fit the profile required at FC Bayern perfectly. For the coming season, the Munich squad will be freed up by loan player Nicolas Jackson, who is returning to Chelsea.
The “tz” also recently reported that Kroui was already being observed by scouts from the German record champions. However, the shooting star is contractually bound until 2030 and would probably be correspondingly expensive.
