This week the A27 and A59 will be closed for a number of nights due to work. Rijkswaterstaat will be working on improvements to the A27 between the Houten junction and the Hooipolder junction. Road users must take diversions and extra travel time into account.
The work will ensure that the A27 will be closed this week at the following times:
- From Monday, June 1, nine o’clock in the evening to Tuesday, June 2, five o’clock in the morning towards Utrecht, between the Hooipolder junction and the Gorinchem junction.
- From Tuesday, June 2, nine o’clock in the evening to Wednesday, June 3, five o’clock in the morning towards Utrecht, at the Nieuwendijk exit (22)
- From Thursday, June 4, nine o’clock in the evening to Friday, June 5, five o’clock in the morning, several connecting roads will be closed at the Gorinchem junction for small-scale maintenance.
The A59 has also been closed at various times this week, mainly due to night closures:
- From Tuesday, June 2, nine o’clock in the evening to Wednesday, June 3, five o’clock in the morning towards Den Bosch, between the Zonzeel junction and the Hooipolder junction. And towards Zeeland/Rotterdam between the Hooipolder junction and the Made exit (32).
- From Wednesday, June 3, nine o’clock in the evening to Thursday, June 4, five o’clock in the morning in the direction of Den Bosch, between the Hooipolder junction and the Waspik exit (35). And towards Zeeland/Rotterdam between the connection at Waalwijk (37) and the Hooipolder junction.
When will there be more work on the A27?
Rijkswaterstaat will also be working on improvements to the road later in June. The A27 is even more closed at these times:
- From Tuesday, June 9, nine o’clock in the evening to Wednesday, June 10, five o’clock in the morning towards Breda, between the Gorinchem junction and the connection at Werkendam (23).
- From Wednesday, June 10, nine o’clock in the evening to Thursday, June 11, five o’clock in the morning towards Breda, between the Gorinchem junction and the connection at Werkendam (23).
- From Thursday, June 11, nine o’clock in the evening to Friday, June 12, five o’clock in the morning towards Breda, between the Gorinchem junction and the connection at Werkendam (23).
The A27 will also be closed for 6 weeks from Monday 22 June between the Everdingen junction and the Gorinchem junction.
