In the television program About my corpse, Madelief (26) organized a pre-cremation: her own funeral at which she was also present. The terminally ill twenty-something wanted to hear what her loved ones had to say, while she was also in the audience. Although the concept of pre-cremation sounds nice, it is rarely organized because the Dutch prefer to wait as long as possible before thinking about death.
