THEn occasion of Armed Forces Day 2026 celebrated this weekend in Vigo, Spain, Letizia of Spain has once again caught attention international presiding over the solemn military parade alongside the King Felipe VI and, for the first time in this specific event, of Princess Leonor. The institutional event, which took place in a suggestive setting overlooking the ocean, saw the Spanish sovereign give a new lesson in style and sustainability. Next to her, her nineteen-year-old daughter and heir to the throne attracted attention by wearing the official uniform, marking a stage with a high symbolic value in her preparation journey as the future leader of the country’s armed forces.
The charm of recycling: Letizia of Spain’s “diplomatic” floral dress
For this important outdoor event, Queen Letizia chose to draw from her own wardrobe recycling a refined floral midi dress designed by the Spanish designer Juan Vidala 700 euro garment already shown off in 2023 during the National Day. The silk model, characterized by one sky blue background with delicate white botanical patternslong sleeves and an elegant V-neck, has been slightly modified compared to the first release. In fact, the sovereign preferred it hide a showy bow on the chest to obtain a more sober and protocol-compliant silhouette. The Italian accessory and the choice of comfortable heel
To complete the outfit, the queen focused on accessories that played on the contrast of white, perfectly coordinated with the prints of the dress. The queen has in fact opted for a pair of white sandals with a five centimeter wide square heel signed by Hugo Boss.
