On the eve of the final matches, Donk seemed to have the best credentials. That team had finished above De Zaan in the regular competition.
While things went smoothly for a long time on Friday evening, coach Mick van den Bree’s team quickly opened up a gap in the De Slag swimming pool. The first period ended 4-1 and at half time it was 8-4. The lead was no longer in danger in the third and fourth periods.
