Angela walks in nature, reaches Hector, her boyfriend, together they bathe, hugging each other in a stream: paradise lost. So it is between them, when they are alone: why Angela is deaf (Deaf is the original title of the film) and Hector, hearing, communicates perfectly with her with sign language.
Theirs is a functioning bubble, her parents are pleased with the bond with a hearing person, Hector is also at ease in her circle of friends. Things change when Ona is born, who could be part of Angela’s universe, or the rest of the world.

Inspired by the story of the (magnificent) protagonist, the director’s sister, the film, winner of two Goya awards, compares the desire for motherhood and the struggle of experiencing diversity. With the choice, in the final 20 minutes, to make the viewer live a truly immersive experience. Brilliant.
