A resident of the Geuzingerbrink in Emmen fell victim to a chat trick yesterday, the police reported. Around 4:30 p.m., the victim received a call from someone posing as a police officer.
The victim was then kept on the phone for more than two hours. During that conversation, an unknown man appeared at the door around 6 p.m. He took a large amount of cash and jewelry.
The police are investigating the case. No one has been arrested yet.
