The police fined 54 people last Saturday during a major check around the Kruisstraat and the Woenselse Markt in Eindhoven. During the inspection, two men wearing balaclavas raced through the shopping street on dirt bikes. They managed to escape the officers.

It didn’t stop there. A man was also stopped for driving without a valid driver’s license. His car had also been seen several times during various thefts in the region and was therefore seized. The driver could go home with a hefty fine for driving without a driver’s license.

Drivers were also caught unnecessarily causing noise pollution, driving without a valid MOT and making phone calls behind the wheel. In addition, fines were issued for public drunkenness, begging and illegal parking. A total of 54 fines were issued.

An impact weapon and a knife were also seized during one of the checks. The owner was also allowed to go home with a fine.

During the check, officers also spotted two men who were speeding through a busy shopping street on dirt bikes. The motorcyclists wore balaclavas, ignored a police stop sign and fled the scene while cycling. The police are investigating the motocross riders.
