Barcelona, one of the Spanish First Football League teams, transferred English winger Anthony Gordon.
In the statement made by the club, a 5-year contract was signed with the 25-year-old football player who plays for the Premier League team Newcastle United.
Stating that he was very happy about his transfer to Barcelona and speaking Spanish in the promotional video, Gordon said, “I learned this language because I believed that one day I would play for Barcelona. There was a physiotherapist in Newcastle and we talked every day. I told him that one day I would play for Barcelona and that I wanted to learn Spanish.” he said.
It was reported in the press that the Spanish team paid 80 million euros for the transfer.
The English football player, who was transferred from Everton to Newcastle United in 2023, scored 39 goals in 152 matches.
