VIDEO Giro d’Italia stage 19: the highlights. Sepp Kuss wins, Ciccone third

An exciting stage that ended this afternoon in Alleghe, in the Belluno area. On the Falzarego Pass, 25 km from the finish, the group with Ciccone, Caruso, Pellizzari, Kuss and others passes with almost 3 minutes of advantage. Ciccone attacks downhill and gains ground thanks to his diving ability. At the start of the final climb to Alleghe, he has over a minute on Kuss and Caruso and over two minutes on Vingegaard’s pink jersey group. Among the great enthusiasm of the public, behind him move Pellizzari, Kuss and then Gall from the group of favourites. In the last kilometers Ciccone’s lead rapidly diminishes, while Gall and Vingegaard accelerate. 2 km from the finish line Kuss reaches Ciccone and immediately breaks away from him, moving towards the stage victory.
