It is to be hoped that Leontine Ruiters and her daughter Jada Borsato have not suffered facial injuries, says Private Boss Evert Santegoeds. “That’s what they need.”
Leontine Ruiters and her daughter Jada Borsato were involved in a serious car accident in Ibiza, which even ended up in hospital. Leontine also shared a photo of this on her socials (see below). “To prevent this story from becoming one of its own with inaccuracies, we have decided to share this…,” she says.
‘I’m doing well’
What exactly happened? Leontine explains: “Last Sunday, Jada and I were involved in a serious traffic accident in Ibiza. A driver, under the influence, drove into the roundabout the wrong way and then ended up on our side of the road, which resulted in a head-on collision with our taxi.”
She continues Instagram: “We suffered several injuries and were admitted to hospital. We have now been discharged and are doing well, considering the circumstances.”
Nothing fatal
Leontine and Jada are still alive, she emphasizes. “We realize that the outcome for everyone involved, including our taxi driver and the occupants of the other car, could have been much more serious and are grateful that the accident did not have fatal consequences.”
She continues: “It is a serious event and something that we will have to deal with in the near future. We would like to express our great thanks to the emergency services, the medical staff and everyone who has helped and supported us in recent days.”
Peace and privacy
Leontine does not want media attention. “We, together with our family and our management, the media and the public, ask for peace, space and privacy so that we can process this event and recover. Further substantive questions will not be answered at this time.”
And private boss Evert Santegoeds has plenty of questions. “What does she mean by ‘before it takes on a life of its own’? People always have that suspicion,” he grumbles in the podcast Strictly Private.
Injured face?
Evert thinks the two can be happy. “They were lucky, I think. Some accidents happen in Ibiza and they have now experienced that firsthand. They were in a taxi. Then you think: sensible, what could happen? Although Leontine is not known as a drinking organ, but the other party is.”
He concludes: “The consequences were serious, as you can see in the photo that Leontine also shared. They ended up in the hospital and they have now been released. I just hope that they don’t have any injuries to their faces and such, because they are beautiful women who have to deal with that for a large part. Anyway, this could have ended very differently…”
