Hundreds of opponents and dozens of supporters of the arrival of an asylum seeker center are demonstrating in Uithoorn tonight. The anti-azc demonstrators walked in a march from the intended location of the shelter to a square near the town hall, where PVV leader Geert Wilders gave a speech.
The NH reporter on site says that after PVV leader Geert Wilders’ speech, a group of opponents tried to reach the supporters, but were stopped by the riot police and the police. Eggs and glass bottles are also thrown at the proponents.
Ultimately, the supporters are led away by the police, after which it becomes quieter on the square.
