At Viola Park everything was decided in the last quarter of an hour: Braschi’s penalty, Kouadio’s second and Mikolajewski’s goal

May 28, 2026 (changed at 11:04 pm) – FLORENCE

English version

Fiorentina returns to win the Primavera championship after 43 years thanks to a 2-1 victory over Parma with goals from Braschi from a penalty and Kouadio with a header. Mikolajewski scored for the ducals and shortened the score, but was unable to make a definitive comeback. For the Viola it is the fourth championship in history: the last time in 1983 and previously at the end of the ’70-’71 and ’79-’80 seasons. This is how Daniele Galloppa ends his experience in the best way, having sat on the bench for the last time this evening as the coach says goodbye and will take another path after six years in the Viola youth sector, three of which at the helm of the Primavera. Disappointment instead for Nicola Corrent’s boys, authors of an extraordinary season and still in the game tonight too, in a lively and courageous match.

in the stands

In a Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park which was sold out (maximum capacity allowed 2 thousand seats), in the stands there are the entire management of the two clubs, among them the sporting director Fabio Paratici with the general manager Alessandro Ferrari for the Viola and the CEO Federico Cherubini with the sporting director Alessandro Pettinà for the Ducali. Great satisfaction for the head of the Viola youth sector Valentino Angeloni.

the match

The great balance of the regular season with the two teams both finishing with 68 points (and only one more goal scored for the Viola throughout the season) is repeated in this final which ends 0-0 after the first half with two great chances, one on each side: in the 36th minute it is a free kick from the edge of the box by Mikolajewski that gives the Viola shivers but Leonardelli overcomes himself. And then in the 46th minute Astaldi defends Parma’s goal as best he can and opposes Bertolini. The turning point came in the 29th minute of the second half with Braschi scoring from the spot the penalty awarded by referee Di Mario for a challenge by Mena Martinez on Mazzeo. A penalty that leaves doubts. Fiorentina’s second goal came thanks to Kouadio’s header in the fray in the 39th minute, but it didn’t end there as Mikolajewski shortened the lead in the 42nd minute, without however achieving a definitive comeback.

the route

Fiorentina had reached the final thanks to the victory over Bologna, while Parma had overcome Cesena. And if for Fiorentina the final act was a real hope of revenge compared to last season’s defeat against Inter, for Parma it represented the possibility of making history after a perfect run-up thanks to a journey made with courage and in which even expectations were exceeded.
