Victor Vlam thinks that Tina Nijkamp takes too much shine to the men of Today Inside and is not critical enough. “I think very specifically that Tina’s positioning could be improved,” he says.

It was a big setback for Victor Vlam: he openly applied for a position in Today Inside, but was passed over because Wilfred Genee did not want him on the show. He does run away with Tina Nijkamp. Not surprising: while Tina is always full of praise for the men at the table, Victor has also dropped some critical notes. Also about Wilfred.

Too much

Victor finds it remarkable that Tina appeared in Today Inside four times last week. “Three times at the table and once at the bar, and I think that might be for a lot of people too much was,” he sneers Victor Indicates TV.

“There was quite a lot of online criticism. Boulevard also participated by making a complete fool of her by showing extensive images of how she sang Beat It quite out of tune during the karaoke evening.”

Positioning

What could be better about Tina’s VI performances? “I think very specifically that Tina’s positioning can be improved. It is a very good sign that the men at the table like it when she is there. That is an important condition for success, but the positioning can be improved. Everyone in the Today Inside circle gets some kind of character.”

He continues: “They try to make you a kind of character. With Valentine, he is always sour and that allows him to actually be sour, because that can be fun for the broadcast.”

Disadvantage

What did they choose with Tina? “They have pushed her very much into the box that she is always cheerful and the disadvantage of that box is that it has a restrictive effect. As a result, she cannot occasionally speak critically to those men.”

For example, she is always cheerful and lyrical about VI’s viewing figures, but when things go down, you don’t hear Tina, according to Victor. “That does not fit the role of someone who provides that cheerful note. It limits her somewhat.”

Join the discussion

Tina really needs to be a bit stricter sometimes, Victor thinks. “Just talking to the men — you kind of get that feeling, just complimenting them — doesn’t really fit the program.”

He concludes: “That’s something that ends up looking a bit bad.”
