The assistant of the late Matthew Perry, known for the Frendit series, has been sentenced to more than three years in prison, says People-leaf.

Perry was found dead in his home in October 2023. His death has been determined to be due to acute adverse effects of ketamine.

Perry received ketamine for anxiety and depression, but also obtained the substance illegally.

Kenneth Iwamasa is the fifth person to be sentenced for his involvement in Perry’s death.

Perry’s assistant admitted in court that he injected Perry with ketamine several times in the days before the actor’s death without medical training.

According to the judge, Iwamasa must have realized that Perry was using too much ketamine, BBC tells.

Perry’s mother, who attended the trial by Suzanne Morris according to Iwamasa should have contacted Perry’s relatives about the man’s drug addiction.

Iwamasa also tried to cover up his involvement in Perry’s death by, among other things, destroying evidence of Perry’s ketamine use.
