The accident took place at the intersection of N246 and Kerkstraat, just before 6 p.m. A police spokesperson can provide few details about the accident, but says it involved a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
Emergency services protect the accident scene
It is unknown how many people were injured in the accident and what their condition is. Photos show that a so-called viewing screen has been placed at the site of the collision. The emergency services’ reporting system shows that at least one person has been resuscitated.
The N246 is closed to traffic from the intersection with Kerkstraat in a northerly direction. It is not yet known how long this closure will last.
