The new Videoland documentary Night children was supposed to be available to stream from Wednesday, but was postponed at the last minute. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the series must be re-edited, the streaming service informed this site.

In Night children documentary maker Sahar Meradji investigates how Dutch young people grow up in a world in which drug use is increasingly taken for granted. With her camera she enters the lives of young people between the ages of 15 and 25 who use drugs.

The three-part series would be available to stream on Videoland from Wednesday, but was postponed at the last minute. “Due to unforeseen circumstances in the life of one of the young people, we have decided to remove him from the series,” a spokesperson for the streaming service said.

Night children will therefore be re-assembled before it comes online. “Making this documentary is a very careful and vulnerable process, in which the well-being and interests of the young people involved always come first. Out of respect for the personal situation of this young person and his environment, we do not publicly comment on individual circumstances.”

The modified version is expected to be Night children can be streamed on Videoland next week. The exact date will be announced at a later date.
