Maldini then dribbled away questions about a possible future in the national team but did not close the door on Fenerbahce, after the meetings in Istanbul with presidential candidate Hakan Safi complete with a photo together published on Instagram: “He’s a friend, one of the presidential candidates, let’s see what happens if he wins.”
