In 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will again work in every possible way towards a sustainable future. For example, the ministry was working on an emission reduction of 40% compared to 2022 and on the optimal reuse of products, parts and raw materials. This fourth Sustainability Report contains everything about the sustainable goals, the actions in 2025 and the plans for 2026.

The Sustainability Report describes the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on our three goals: climate, circularity and social chain responsibility. These chapters discuss large, comprehensive plans. Such as the Travel Smart: Economy Premium pilot, an important step to help employees travel more sustainably. Or the development of a circular strategy and the implementation of the living wage policy. The sustainability of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also evident from the smaller, sustainable actions that colleagues are setting up at embassies. The environmentally conscious catering at the Bratislava embassy (Slovakia) is a good example of this.
The sustainable ambitions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also come together in the housing of the embassy in Ankara (Turkey): minimal energy consumption, reuse of raw materials and attention to human rights when purchasing solar panels. A good example of the Walk our Talkidea of Foreign Affairs.
