Tourist is wronged by judge after Italian luxury hotel refuses to serve tap water: “Not mandatory for hotels”

A tourist who was denied tap water during her stay in a five-star Italian hotel has gone to the country’s highest court. The woman found it unacceptable that she was forced to order bottled water for 7 euros during meals. The Court of Cassation ultimately ruled in favor of the hotel: in Italy, hotels and restaurants are not obliged to serve tap water.
