Luuk Ikink more or less dismisses his TV colleague Sam Hagens as a liar now that he denies the recording of an RTL pilot. “Those rumors are very definite,” said the RTL Boulevard star.
After the summer, Renze Klamer has to save the late evening of RTL 4. He will no longer alternate with colleagues, but will of course be free for a number of months a year. Who will stand in for him then? Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan can drink his blood, so they are eliminated and Leonie ter Braak is actually consistently unfit.
Secret recordings
RTL is looking for new replacements and according to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, this is not exactly done discreetly. Test recordings were made on Monday, Whit Monday. “Tip for EndemolShine: next time you record pilots for Renze’s replacement, do it somewhere else and NOT at your office.”
She continued on her yesterday analysis channel: “People like to talk and it is now only a matter of time before this comes out. I will not report it due to sensitivity, but my DM is overflowing.”
Sam to RTL?
However, Luuk Ikink revealed the names last night RTL Boulevard. “A number of pilots for Renze’s new talk show were reportedly recorded today at the EndemolShine office. There is a lot of buzz here today in Hilversum about who it would have been.”
He continues: “Sam Hagens is said to have recorded a pilot. We spoke to him briefly and he says: ‘No, no, no, absolutely not true.’ Anyway, those rumors are very positive that he made a recording there.”
Liar
In other words: Luuk strongly hints that Sam is actively lying about this pilot, and lying obviously does not benefit the credibility of a TV journalist. The chance that he is in discussions with RTL, but that he does not want his current employer WNL to know about this, seems high. His denial recently on SBS 6 was also not credible.
Luuk continues: “There are more people on that list. Very funny, because the whole of WNL seems to be among them. Frank van Leeuwen, Welmoed. I don’t know if they have also recorded a pilot today, but those names are mentioned. There are also still discussions with Hila Noorzai about whether he can indeed be Renze’s replacement.”

However, Hila seems to lose weight for practical reasons. “Of course he cannot take a test during this period, because he has just given birth to a baby. There is a lot going on,” says Luuk.
He continues: “It is of course not said that one of these people will actually replace Renze, because it could also be someone else. They are very busy with it.”
‘Not so smart’
What does TV authority Tina think about it all? She writes: “I don’t know if I think the order is smart enough to look for a replacement for Renze now, let alone record pilots. Why don’t they at RTL and EndemolShine first focus on the line-up, studio and just the preparation?????? Let it be with Renze at the helm first.”
“First things first. Enough to do, I think. Now, just like with RTL Tonight, it is again far too much about the side stuff (then experts, now a replacement from outside) instead of the content. Getting a replacement from outside is also a big risk.”
