Rock am Ring, Metallica, WORLD CLUB DOME, Helene Fischer: The most important festivals and stadium concerts in Germany from the end of May to mid-June 2026 at a glance.
There’s this moment at the end of May when the country collectively decides that winter was a rumor. Reason puts together its tent, the power bank becomes the patron saint, and somewhere between the field and the stadium the question arises as to why we do this voluntarily every year. It’s open-air season.
If you don’t want to miss the start of the season, here is an overview of the most important open-air highlights in Germany until mid-June 2026 – the biggest festivals and the big stadium shows, sorted by genre. All information about tickets and line-ups should be checked again with the organizer shortly before arrival, as availability changes daily.
The big rock and metal highlights
Rock at the ring and rock in the park
When: June 5th to 7th, 2026
Where: Nürburgring / Nuremberg
Probably the most visited rock weekend in the country opens June. With Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park at the head of a line-up of over 70 bands – plus Electric Callboy, Papa Roach, Sabaton, The Offspring and Volbeat – the twin festivals will continue to hit the nerve of their audience in 2026. Rock am Ring was completely sold out with 90,000 weekend tickets in October 2025, earlier than ever before; Rock in the Park is also sold out. There will be no day tickets in 2026.
Metallica
When: May 30, 2026
Where: Olympic Stadium, Berlin
The “M72 World Tour In The Round” brings the spectacular 360° stage right into the middle of the Olympic Stadium, with special guests Gojira and Knocked Loose in tow. Unlike the “No Repeat Weekend” in Frankfurt (May 22nd and 24th), Berlin is a focused solo show – and has long since been completely sold out.
Linkin Park
When: June 1st and 3rd, 2026 (Hamburg), June 11th and 12th, 2026 (Munich)
Where: Volksparkstadion, Hamburg / Allianz Arena, Munich
After the comeback with singer Emily Armstrong and the number one album “From Zero”, Linkin Park are continuing their world tour in 2026 with four German stadium evenings – two each in Hamburg and Munich, where the Allianz Arena is stepping in as an open-air stage during the Olympic Stadium renovation. The double shows are the direct response to last year’s concerts, which sold out in minutes; The opening act includes Clipse and Phantogram. If you don’t get a ticket, you’ll see the band headlining at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park a few days later.
Foo Fighters
When: June 6th, 2026
Where: Olympic Stadium, Munich
Dave Grohl and band stop off in the Bavarian capital on their summer tour, supported by Inhaler and Otoboke Beaver.
Iron Maiden
When: June 12, 2026
Where: Leipzig
The “Run For Your Lives” tour stops off in Leipzig – just a few days after the metal institution headlined Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. A must for everyone who prefers to see the British in their own stadium show rather than in the festival crowd.
Hurricane and Southside Festival
When: June 19th to 21st, 2026
Where: Eichenring, Scheeßel (Hurricane) / Neuhausen ob Eck (Southside)
The actual start of the high season – and for many the weekend that all the early summer impatience is leading up to. FKP Scorpio’s twin festivals share their line-up and play it simultaneously in the north and south, each in front of around 75,000 to 80,000 fans. For Hurricane’s 30th birthday, the organizer is doing the following: At the top are Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine and Kraftklub, plus Billy Talent, Halsey, Yungblud, The Offspring, Papa Roach and Provinz – over 70 bands in total. Advance sales are ongoing; Festival passes including camping cost around 200 to 260 euros, depending on the festival.
Electronic, techno and club culture in the open air
WORLD CLUB DOME
When: June 5th to 7th, 2026
Where: Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt am Main
When a football stadium becomes the largest club in the world: The WORLD CLUB DOME transforms Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park and its outdoor area into a three-day EDM, techno and house stronghold with around 180,000 visitors. On the main stage are Robin Schulz, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Eric Prydz and Bebe Rexha; The strong German rap track with arrest warrant, SSIO and Vega is noteworthy. One of the loudest and largest electronic events in Europe – and one of the most spectacular season openers ever.
Pop and hits in stadium format
Helene Fischer
When: June 10, 2026 (Dresden) and June 13, 2026 (Berlin)
Where: Rudolf Harbig Stadium, Dresden / Olympic Stadium, Berlin
For the 20th anniversary, Helene Fischer is starting her 360° stadium tour – an open-air spectacle with a central stage and catwalks across the entire field.
Indie, pop and curated insider tips
Immergut Festival
When: May 28th to 30th, 2026
Where: Neustrelitz (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
Small, curated with attitude: Immergut has been one of the most carefully programmed indie festivals in the country for years and accommodates around 5,000 guests in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
Campus and German rap: Kimiko Isle Of Campus
When: June 12th to 14th, 2026
Where: RWTH Campus Melaten, Aachen
The Aachen Campus Festival has developed into one of the most relevant addresses for young urban music in the West and is expecting over 15,000 visitors on five stages in 2026. The Sportfreunde Stiller return as headliners with a new album for their 30th anniversary. The rap block is at least as interesting: with OG Keemo – one of the most idiosyncratic voices in German rap -, Audio88 & Yassin, OK KID, Chapo102 and PA69, the festival brings together some of the most influential voices in current German rap. A must-attend event for anyone who wants to experience hip-hop, indie and electro beyond the charts routine in one place.
We wish you a powerful start to the season – and no matter whether it’s a stadium rave or a meadow concert: charge the power bank and let the first bass drum of the summer take you away.
