The Knicks, who hosted the Cavaliers in the 4th game of the Eastern Conference final series played at Rocket Arena, won by 37 points and got their 11th consecutive play-off victory.
Having won the Eastern Conference championship, the Knicks made it to the NBA finals for the first time since 1999.
Karl-Anthony Towns contributed to the victory with 19 points, 14 rebounds, OG Anunoby with 17, Landry Shamet with 16, and Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges with 15 points each.
For the home team, Donovan Mitchell’s 31 points and Evan Mobley’s 15 points could not prevent the defeat.
Brunson, who averaged 25.5 points and 7.8 assists against the Cavaliers, was chosen as the most valuable player of the Eastern Conference final.
The Knicks will face the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder-San Antonio Spurs (2-2) matchup in the NBA finals.
