Eintracht Frankfurt is said to have chosen an old acquaintance as the top candidate when looking for a successor to the dismissed head coach Albert Riera.
According to the “kicker” it is Adi Hütter. SGE sports director Markus Krösche is said to have recently had a conversation with the 56-year-old Austrian in Mallorca. However, when asked, Krösche did not want to comment on the matter, it is said.
There is still no agreement between Hütter and Eintracht Frankfurt, the trade magazine continues. However, there could be some movement in the personnel during the course of this week.
Olympique Marseille from the French Ligue 1 is currently also trying to recruit Hütter. The football teacher himself is said to still be dreaming of a Premier League commitment. However, it is completely unclear whether there will be an attractive job option for him there this summer, they say.
Hütter had already successfully coached Eintracht Frankfurt from 2018 to 2021. However, in the final phase of his first term in office and during his move to Borussia Mönchengladbach on the basis of an exit clause, disagreements arose. These are said to have been resolved by now.
Hütter most recently worked in France at AS Monaco. He has been without a club since his release from the Principality last October.

After separating from Riera, Krösche announced the previous week that he wanted to sort out the Spaniard’s successor as soon as possible.
In addition to Hütter, former Bundesliga professional Matthias Jaissle is considered a candidate for the vacant coaching position at Eintracht. The 38-year-old is currently under contract with Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Alexander Blessin (FC St. Pauli) and former BVB coach Mike Tullberg (FC Midtjylland) are also said to be on the Frankfurt coaching list.
