Cadillac’s Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas36, the return to the Formula 1 series may be short-lived, reports Italy Sky Sports.
The magazine’s respected editor Roberto Chinchero within the team, discussions have started about Bottas being kicked out at the end of the F1 season.
Bottas’ early season has been difficult, as the Finn has been seen at the back of the pack with the checkered flag in every race, and there have been no significant successes.
Although the situation is not entirely surprising, there is a team mate in particular by Sergio Perez worried about being left behind.
When counting, for example, every qualifying session of the season (including qualifying sessions in sprint races), Perez has been faster than Botta in five out of seven times. (The comparison does not include the qualifying sessions of the Chinese sprint race, in which Perez did not participate.)
However, perhaps one of the most significant losses for a teammate came last weekend in Canada, when Bottas lost to Perez by more than 0.8 seconds in Saturday’s qualifying due to his own mistake.

Bottas, who started last in Sunday’s race, ended up finishing last as well. Perez was also faster than Bottas in the race, but the Mexican driver eventually had to stop when his car’s suspension failed.
According to Chinchero, Perez’s continuation in the team is also not certain, as the Mexican striker has reportedly explored other options.
The situation may lead to Cadillac’s driver duo being completely new next season. The strongest candidate for the team has been the American Colton Heartwho currently drives in Formula 2.
Herta drove successfully in the Indycar series between 2018 and 2025.
Bottas returned as an F1 race driver for this season after one year off. He spent a gap year as a three-way driver for Mercedes.
