In recent months there has been a lot of commotion about our drinking water due to PFAS, pesticides and triazoles. Just before the approval of the drinking water plan, the Gezinsbond Vlaanderen surveyed consumer confidence among 1,000 families.
Pieter Ledeganck, Gezinsbond: “In West Flanders, 15% really do not trust it. We do not think it is safe for health anymore. 90% trust the standards, but that does not mean that they also trust the water that comes from the tap. You have about 10% who only trust it once they have filtered it themselves.”
