Rob Goossens takes a serious swipe at his fellow TV critic Tina Nijkamp. He shows images of her performance at the VI karaoke evening on RTL Boulevard and exclaims: “She sings so out of tune!”
The faces of Today Inside let themselves go in Curaçao. While the viewer still wonders what they are doing there, they are thoroughly enjoying their sunny staff outing. Wilfred Genee is busy with karaoke, but Tina Nijkamp also happily participates. And she didn’t know that it was being filmed by a camera crew RTL Boulevard.
Fake Tina
We see Tina in the show section singing Michael Jackson’s song Beat It loudly. It leads to hilarity in the studio. “Yes, Rob, viewers may have had to get used to the tropical design and perhaps also Tina Nijkamp singing, haha,” said presenter Daphne Bunskoek.
TV critic Rob Goossens then said: “They had a massive sunstroke, it seemed… I find it especially ironic. Tina, the woman who said to me: ‘Rob, should you be in Ranking the Stars?’, now thought it was a good idea to stand with a microphone in a program where a million people watch how she sings out of tune.”
Cult status
Rob thinks it’s all very bad camp happen. “It does add to the cult status of Today Inside. If Promenade were to make a summer version of Today Inside, it would look something like this. The first idea would also be: Wilfred has to open it singing and Johan is even more confused than usual. That turned out perfectly.”
Colleague Luuk Ikink: “I still don’t understand why they are there!”

Wristband
Rob doesn’t think it’s an ideal setting. “The setting is the carefreeness of an island where you can eat unlimited noodles and nasi with a wristband and then you have to talk about serious problems.”
Daphne: “But let’s be honest: if they offer us the opportunity to spend six weeks in Ibiza next year, it will add everything!”
In the background we see all kinds of overweight people walking around. Rob: “I don’t think it’s an advertisement for a holiday in such a resort at all. Everything I find terrible!”
Made a fool of
What does Tina think about this? Wilfred Genee asks her about it Today Inside. “You just got made fun of in Boulevard. I don’t know if you saw it?”
Tina: “Yes, I saw it, yes. Yes, well, there was indeed a camera.”
Wilfred: “You didn’t realize that, did you? You thought it was an internal party. Just some karaoke afterwards!”
Tina: “I saw a camera like that and then I thought: hmm, I’m going to see that again. Well, what do I care, man.”
No big ego
René van der Gijp thinks it’s funny. “You don’t have a very big ego, I have to be very honest. When I saw you like that, I thought to myself: you just have a shit about it. Like: I’m going to sing for a while, that’s it.”
Tina: “Yes, that’s right. Why do I care! It doesn’t matter to me.”
Johan concludes: “Tina has always remained a farmer’s daughter from the countryside.”
