According to an agency report, Blackstone is not interested in taking over the outdoor advertiser Ströer.

As Bloomberg reports, the US financial investor has withdrawn from an investor group with I Squared that was considering a takeover of the MDAX group.

The consortium had considered offering around 2.5 billion euros for Ströer, as the agency reported at the beginning of the month. I Squared is now checking the next steps.

A spokesman for Ströer declined to comment when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires, as did Blackstone. I Squared also did not comment on the matter, according to Bloomberg.

Ströer shares lost almost 11 percent on Tuesday.

Blackstone shares were temporarily 1.50 percent lower at $115.28 in NYSE trading on Tuesday.
