You have to be able to get that much ease first. Kreidler have said goodbye to pushing and conquering in favor of a more relaxed pace. In “Snowflakes” Let’s listen to the eponymous ice crystals floating down as they move; it’s a lively electro drum game that lasts four minutes. In “Via Da Me” The music barely moves, but at the same time it invites you to immerse yourself in the sound and explore it intensively.
With the pre-single “Marble Upset” The Düsseldorf-Berlin band goes back almost 32 years to the band’s history to throw themselves into the synth-pop wool that represents their trademark sound. It’s still crackling after all these years, SCHEMES documents that the small group Thomas Klein (percussion, drums, found sounds), Alexander Paulick (fretless bass) and Andreas Reihse (synthesizer, electronics, field recordings) is able to illuminate sound spaces with plenty of precision and joy of playing.
