The government says it wants to boost the economy, but is doing nothing about it. This is what Cees Oudshoorn, former director of the VNO-NCW business organization, says in Kwestie van Centen. “There is plenty of money in the Netherlands, but not the mechanism to use it for investments.” He advocates the establishment of a National Investment Bank. “Now there is an accountant mentality in which there is no more money for infrastructure and our power grid.” Oudshoorn warns that with lower economic growth, public facilities will become increasingly stripped down. The podcast Kwestie van Centen can also be listened to via Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
