Hamzat Chimayev continued his winning streak at UFC 273 night. Born in Chechnya but flying the Swedish flag, Chimayev won the Brazilian Gilbert Burnsin.

In a fast-paced and entertaining match, hits were shared on both sides. Chimayev dropped Burns on the carpet with his front hand already in the opening round.

The second set went to Burns in the papers of all the judges. That’s where Chimayev walked on the floor as Burns’ ferocious upper hooks swarmed in the dome. However, Chimayev endured and delivered heavier blows in the third round. All judges scored the match for the Swedish Chechen 29-28.

Burns, who finished second in the middle series, was a strong opponent of Chimayev’s career. In his first four matches, he was hit twice and the wins came at a rapid pace. Now Chimayev had to contract the full lots.

– Burns was harder than I thought, he said after the match.

Chimayev collects praise for his sporting gifts, but the Chechen leader of his connection To Ramzan Kadyrov infuriate freestyle followers.

Before his match on Saturday, Chimayev hosted a live broadcast on Instagram and chatted warmly with warlord Kadyrov. The duo are known for their warm intervals, and Kadyrov has not hesitated to have the opportunity to use sport as his power.

The UFC has not reacted in any way: it does not publicly show its support for Ukraine or condemn the Russian attack, to which Kadyrov has also joined. Reuters Chechen soldiers sent by Kadyrov have been involved in executions in Bocha.

The dominance of the master continues

To Alexander Volkanovsky, 33, still no beater found. The feat of the evening’s main match was the feather series championship, which Volkanovsky once again successfully defended.

South Korean Chan Sung Jungie The Korean Zombie, was knocked out in the fourth installment. The Australian gave hard bottom kicks and hit effectively with his punches.

A straight from the front hand and two consecutive hooks from the back hand were enough to end the match. Judge Herb Dean intervened as the 35-year-old “Zombie” swayed at the frontiers of twilight.

Volkanovsky has won 24 matches in his professional career and lost only once. He has now defended his UFC feather championship three times.

A surprise was seen in the title match of the dwarf series. American Aljamain Sterling won the points of the Russian Pyotr Janin. Sterling went into the match as a clear underdog, but showed he had developed into a more versatile contestant during a year-long break.

Sterling won the championship a year ago when Jan was disqualified for an illegal kick.
