BARMSTEDT/NECKARSULM (dpa-AFX) – Due to the risk of salmonella, the manufacturer Drageefabrik Stolze GmbH is recalling a certain pack of chocolate sprinkles. The product affected is “Belbake chocolate sprinkles (at least 32 percent cocoa) 400 grams” – with the best-before date of April 21, 2027 and the batch numbers 1326.01 to 1326.14, as reported by the lebensmittelanwalt.de portal.

Salmonella was detected during an investigation by the manufacturer. These can trigger stomach/intestinal diseases. Serious illnesses could occur in infants, small children, pregnant women, seniors and people with a weakened immune system.

Product on the market in many federal states

The product was sold by Lidl in Germany in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Saxony. The goods can be returned to all Lidl branches. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presenting the receipt.

Other products sold by Lidl in Germany from Drageefabrik Stolze, based in Barmstedt (Schleswig-Holstein), as well as other products from the “Belbake” brand are not affected by the recall./tat/DP/he
