600 seats, only via Instagram fan channel: Tickets for Ikkimel’s second “Poppstar” release show in Dresden were sold immediately. What’s behind the exclusive concert.
Ikkimel surprises with a second release show. For the release of her new album “Poppstar”, the Berliner is not only playing in her hometown. She announced a second date – in Dresden.
There she wants to play a little show at the Tante Ju club. The venue has a capacity for 600 people. This is exclusive for Ikkimel – after all, she brought together around 9,000 people on Mariannenplatz on May 1st.
The singer also announced this herself: “I’ll never play such small shows again.”
Tickets only via the Instagram fan channel
The appearance was therefore only minimally advertised. Ikkimel posted the date and tickets exclusively via her Instagram fan channel. The show can now also be seen on the event website Landstreicher-Konzerte – but it is already sold out. Their other release show in Berlin at So36 is also fully booked because they can only fit around 800 people there.
The tickets were available to buy as a bundle for 40 euros, including a CD and key ring. According to the singer, the CD should even smell like coconut when you rub it – matching one of her singles on the new album: “Coconut”.
Feminist lyrics and hyperpop beats
In her new songs, Ikkimel is just as provocative as in her previous releases – and thus manages to maintain a strong fan base. She is particularly celebrated for her explicit, feminist lyrics and fast hyperpop techno beats. So she is really already a celebrated pop star in Germany. She has around 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and around 420,000 followers on Instagram. No wonder that the locations with only 600 to 800 seats were sold out within a very short time.
Dates and tour
The new album will be released on May 15, 2026. The release party in Berlin takes place on May 26th and in Dresden on May 31st. Ikkimel will be going on a real tour starting in November. In the summer she also appears at a number of festivals – for example the Schlossgrabenfest Darmstadt, the Campus Festival Konstanz, Juicy Beats and others.
