His Majesty the King and Prime Minister Jetten receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the Republic of India for a visit to the Netherlands. The visit will take place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May and will focus on deepening bilateral relations between the two countries and signing a Strategic Partnership to this end.

On Saturday, May 16, the King and Her Majesty Queen Máxima will receive Prime Minister Modi in an audience at Huis ten Bosch Palace. Afterwards, a lunch will be offered to the Indian Prime Minister and part of his delegation at the palace. Minister Berendsen of Foreign Affairs will also be present, as well as a number of CEOs of Dutch companies and representatives from the arts and culture sector and science. Prime Minister Jetten receives Prime Minister Modi at the Catshuis. Both Prime Ministers will also participate in a round table discussion with CEOs, hosted by Minister Sjoerdsma of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.

Later that day, a cooperation agreement will be signed between two companies in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Jetten. Afterwards, both Prime Ministers will take part in a round table discussion with CEOs of Dutch companies about economic cooperation between the Netherlands and India. Minister Sjoerdsma will give an opening speech here. Both Prime Ministers conclude the conversation with a short speech.

At the beginning of the evening, Prime Minister Modi will be received by Prime Minister Jetten for a delegation meeting and an informal dinner at the Catshuis. During the meeting, discussions will include the situation in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine and cooperation in the areas of security, new technologies, water management and the economy. Various agreements, which form part of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries, are also exchanged.

Together with Prime Minister Jetten, Prime Minister Modi will conclude his visit to the Netherlands on Sunday, May 17, with a working visit in the context of water management.
