A shed burned out this afternoon at De Polle in Dwingeloo. The fire released asbestos, which landed on the barn owner’s land.
Because the asbestos only fell on the shed owner’s land, no advice applies to local residents.
Corps from Beilen, Smilde and Dwingeloo came to the barn around 4 p.m. to fight the fire. They could no longer prevent the inside of the barn from completely burning out.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still unclear.
