A tunnel connecting Europe with Africa: Spain and Morocco are taking new steps for a mega project

The construction of a tens of kilometers long and hundreds of meters deep tunnel between Spain and Morocco is taking shape. A new feasibility study gives the project a boost and shows that the tunnel is technically feasible. The idea for a tunnel under the Strait of Gibraltar was first discussed in 1869.
