VU disconnects systems after hack, possibly with consequences for education

The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam has disconnected all systems that are connected to the Canvas educational software. The educational institution announced this after hacker group ShinyHunters managed to take over the Canvas sites of several Dutch universities on Thursday evening.
