Italian football legend Evaristo Beccalossi has died at the age of 69, Gazzetta dello Sport news.
Beccalossi was known by the nickname “Genius”, because as a player he was an extremely skilled and talented ball handler.

The midfield maestro played 216 matches for Inter Milan between 1978 and 1984. He also represented the Italian national team at the Olympics.
After his career, Beccalossi worked, among other things, as a TV commentator and the junior manager of the Italian Football Association.
Beccalossi became seriously ill in January 2025. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and fell into a coma for 47 days. After waking up, the legend spent another year in his hometown of Brescia, where he recovered with the support of his loved ones.
