If you’re looking for the fittest flight attendant in the world, a Dutch one Mikky Keetels wedge in that race by throwing to the top spot.
Keetels, 27, won the Vancouver Marathon over the weekend in a record time of 2:33.01. Keetels undercut the Canadian by Dayna Pidhoresky by 24 seconds of the old record.
The value of Keetels’ performance is further emphasized by the fact that he won the Dutch marathon championship just three weeks ago in Rotterdam. At that time, Keetels set his own new personal record (2:30,42).

Keetels started his long-distance running career in 2019, when he participated in the New York Marathon for charity. Keetels previously studied journalism at Utrecht University. He finally decided to jump on a different path.
Keetels has worked as a full-time flight attendant for Royal Dutch Aviation, or KLM, for the past few years. Keetels has actively published videos on social media about how he has maintained his running hobby in connection with air travel.
– I don’t really have any specific plan, Keetels told De Telegraaf regarding his marathon career.
Keetels’ own record is quite good even against top marathoners. An example is Finland’s Alisa Vainio, who made a new SE result of 2:20.39 in Seville in February.
