A camper and truck burned out on Monday night in a parking lot between Dommelseweg and Columbusstraat in Valkenswaard. The fire was discovered around 2 a.m.
The fire brigade responded extensively because there were gas bottles in the camper and because the shed next to the camper had also caught fire.
Some local residents managed to drive their own car out of the danger zone. This did not work with a car parked opposite. It suffered damage to the front due to the heat. How the fire could have started is being investigated.
