GameStop, an American seller of video games, wants to acquire eBay, which is four times larger in market value, for about $56 billion. “This is bizarre and reminds me of the 1980s, when large acquisitions were financed with a lot of borrowed money,” reports Jean-Paul van Oudheusden, market analyst at broker eToro.
