Giana Erminio eliminates Trento, who for the third consecutive time exits in the first round. Casarano, Lumezzane and Pineto also pass by. Below, all the verdicts

Pietro Scognamiglio

May 4 – 00:16 – MILAN

9 teams are already ready for the post season, with the field factor missing in two cases. Here is everything that happened in the first round of the playoffs (internal group stage), remembering that we will return to the field as early as Wednesday evening for the second round.

group a

For the third consecutive year, Trento goes out in the first round: this time at the hands of Giana, who scores a goal in each half with Vitale and Samele and then defends without any particular worries even when Chinetti halves the deficit (the best on the pitch is in any case Barlocco, Trento’s goalkeeper, protagonist of 5 interventions in the 90′). Cittadella goes ahead, appearing to take off but then gets caught up by Arzignano (from 2-0 to 2-2) and also risks losing: double – the fifth of the season – from Rabbi in the first half, then Nanni and Bernardi restore the balance, in the final Lakti has the opportunity to overtake but Maniero overcomes himself and avoids the mockery (in total four also hit between posts and crossbars, in three cases by Cittadella). Lumezzane resisted, blocking Alcione at 0-0 – in the first playoff in their history – and thus earned the trip to Cittadella: the Milanese tried in several ways to break the deadlock, but they didn’t succeed (an own goal by Anatriello annulled due to a previous foul, as well as a save by Gallea on Bright) remain on record.

5th-10th) Trento-Giana Erminio 1-2: Vitale (G) at the 4′ point; Samele (G) in the 22nd minute; Chinetti (T) at 24′ st
6th-9th) Cittadella-Arzignano 2-2: Rabbi (C) at 12′ and 18′ pt; Nanni (A) in the 8th minute, Bernardi (A) in the 30th minute
7th-8th) Lumezzane-Alcione: 0-0
Second round: Lecco-Giana Erminio and Cittadella-Lumezzane

group b

He escapes and gets caught up with Juventus Next Gen, who arrived at these playoffs with the best placing in their history (fifth place): Nicastro responds to the double advantage achieved by Pagnucco and Faticanti with a brace that restores the balance, then it is Mangiapoco who opposes Machin, fixing the result in favor of Brambilla’s team (also qualified with a draw). And on Wednesday it will be an all-black and white match against the Pianese of the great former player Alessandro Birindelli, who eliminates Ternana despite being outnumbered for a whole half (Sussi was sent off for an elbow on Vallocchia): the Tuscans hit two crossbars in the first half, broke the deadlock with ten men with Coccia, were reached by Pettinari’s penalty but then with order resisted Ternana’s assault which did not go beyond a draw (and now, with the season on the field over, the judicial liquidation with the electronic auction for the acquisition of the sports branch of the company which will close on May 13th). Pineto goes ahead, overturning Gubbio: Umbria’s lead achieved by La Mantia is countered by D’Andrea and Schirone in the second half with a splendid right-footed shot from 25 meters to overtake.

5th-10th) Juventus Next Gen-Vis Pesaro 2-2: Pagnucco (JNG) at 14′; Faticanti (JNG) in the 3rd minute, Nicastro (VP) in the 8th and 20th minute
6th-9th) Pianese-Ternana 1-1: Coccia (P) in the 14th minute, Pettinari (T) on a penalty in the 20th minute
7th-8th) Pineto-Gubbio 2-1: La Mantia (G) in the 23rd minute; D’Andrea (P) in the 3rd minute, Schirone (P) in the 32nd minute
Second round: Campobasso-Pineto and Juventus Next Gen-Pianese

group c

The goal from substitute Coli Saco against Casertana was enough to overcome Atalanta U23, but the young Nerazzurri would have deserved more after forcing De Lucia to make vital saves on the opportunities that fell to Vavassori and Bonanomi. Scida’s draw meant that Crotone would go through to the next round, against Cerignola (it could be the last game for Grieco as president, as the club’s sale is in sight): as time expired, Groppelli’s own goal equalized Musso’s lead, but nothing else happened. After two defeats in the championship, Casarano celebrates in the Monopoli derby: Vito Di Bari’s team – who will go to Cosenza – unlocks the lead thanks to Ferrara and closes the score with a goal from Grandolfo’s ex, then holding the field well.

5th-11th) Casertana-Atalanta U23 1-0: Saco in the 33rd minute; 6th-9th) Crotone-Cerignola 1-1: Musso (Cr) in the 6th minute, own goal by Groppelli (Cr) in the 46th minute
7th-8th) Monopoli-Casarano 0-2: Ferrara at 13′, Grandolfo at 25′ pt
Second round: Cosenza-Casarano and Casertana-Crotone
