A time-out from VOC trainer Elly-An de Boer was necessary to turn the tide again. Ultimately it worked, as VOC made up for the deficit and eventually managed to turn the game into a win: 28-27.
VOC, which has won the national title seven times before, can once again prepare for a final for the national title. The North Holland SEW is the opponent in that final battle. The team from Nibbixwoud, last year’s losing finalist, managed to surprise by eliminating title favorite and cup winner Kwiek.
The final for the national title is on Saturday, May 9 and will be played in Geleen, Limburg. The start is at 6 p.m.
