Premier League

The Dutch darts players were thwarted by Luke Humphries during the thirteenth evening of the Premier League. The Englishman first defeated Michael van Gerwen and then Gian van Veen in Aberdeen. In the final, Humphries lost to world champion Luke Littler, who recorded his second evening victory in a row.

Van Veen won his first match against Jonny Clayton (6-2). In the semi-finals, however, the Dutch World Cup finalist lost 6-3 to defending champion Humphries, who had been too strong for Van Gerwen a round earlier with the same figures.

The final in Aberdeen was between Humphries and world champion Littler. It was evenly matched until 3-3. Then Humphries made the first break. However, Littler turned the tide and won 6-5. On the ranking he takes over the leading position from Clayton.

Littler wins 6-5

The world champion crowned the comeback (from 5-3 down) with the win. He beats Humphries 6-5.

That concludes this evening’s play in Aberdeen. The game will be played in Leeds next week. Thanks for following and hope to see you soon!

Littler rolls out 86 and forces a decisive eleventh leg.

Littler misses two arrows on the double to level the score again. Humphries takes advantage and takes a 5-3 lead. Match point!

There is the first break, in favor of Humphries. Cool Hand makes it 4-3 and he can start the next leg himself.

The level is high. Littler and Humphries both throw an average of over 106. The score is 2-2.

Littler vs. Humphries

It’s time for the final in Aberdeen! Will Littler take his second evening victory in a row? Or will Humphries win and do good business in the battle for the play-offs?

Van Veen defeated by Humphries

The Dutchman loses by 6-3 of the title holder. Humphries will soon be Littler’s opponent in the final of this thirteenth match evening.

Van Veen has a higher average than Humphries (102.67 to 101.80), but the Englishman had more chances for the double. Due to the misses on the doubles, Humphries’ average drops.

Wow, that’s a painful one for Van Veen. Humphries throws out 160 and makes the first break. The score is 5-3 for the Englishman. Can Van Veen still turn the tide?

A 61 finish from Van Veen to make it 3-3. And his next turn is a maximum score of 180! Will we get the first break in this match?

Even after four legs, no breaks. The score is 2-2. Both men are scoring strongly for the time being.

In the first two legs we have already seen four 180’s: two from both Van Veen and Humphries. The score is also the same: 1-1.

Van Veen vs. Humphries

An important clash between two men who are not in the top 4. A place among the best 4 is needed after 16 rounds to reach the play-offs. Who will be Littler’s opponent in the final in Aberdeen: Van Vaan or Humphries? Game on!

Littler easily past Price

It becomes 6-1 for the The Nuke! He is far too strong for The Iceman and is in the final for the third night in a row. Van Veen or Humphries will soon be waiting there.

Price is on the scoreboard, but still faces a three-leg deficit: 4-1. Littler seems to be on his way to the final in Aberdeen. The world champion won the evening match in Liverpool last week.

It is a one-sided party for the time being. Littler leads 3-0. Price really has to keep his own leg now, otherwise it will be a fairly hopeless mission.

Littler vs. Price

The first semi-final is about to start: Littler, already qualified for the play-offs at the end of May, will play against Price.

Van Gerwen loses to Humphries

A disappointing evening for Van Gerwen, who down 6-3 goes in Aberdeen. He returns home without any points. The play-offs are far from certain for Mighty Mike.

Van Gerwen did not get further than an average of 91.02 against Humphries. Humphries did a lot better with 99.18.

Then there is the break. This time Van Gerwen doesn’t get the chance to hit a high finish and that puts Humphries at 5-3. Match point for the Englishman.

Once again Van Gerwen saves himself with a great finish. Now he throws out 114: 3-3.

Strong from Mighty Mike! While Humphries is waiting for double 10, he throws a 122 finish to keep his own leg: 2-2. No breaks yet this match.
