FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced that Iran will participate in the 2026 World Cup.
Infantino, in his statement at the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, Canada, said, “Iran will participate in the 2026 World Cup and play its matches in the USA.” he said.
They will compete with Iran, Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand in Group G of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held between June 11 and July 19, hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.
