The long-time sports director is changing scenery.
Janne Laukkanen is leaving the Pelicans.
The ice hockey championship league team Lahten Pelicans announces that it and Janne Laukkanen, who served as the club’s sports director, have agreed to end the cooperation by mutual understanding.
– Sporting director Laukkanen has played a key role in the club’s development for several years, and the club wants to thank him for his significant work and commitment to common goals, Pelicans reports.
According to Pelicans, the parties have jointly assessed that now is a “creative moment” to move to the next phase.
– The club will immediately initiate the following measures regarding the management of sports activities and will inform about them later, Pelicans says.

Laukka is rumored to be the new sports director of Helsinki IFK.
