Achraf Hakimi

As of: April 29, 2026 • 8:56 p.m

Achraf Hakimi will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Bayern Munich. An advantage for the German record champions?

Paris Saint-Germain will be without full-back Achraf Hakimi in next Wednesday’s semi-final second leg against FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League. The Moroccan will be out for “several weeks” due to a thigh injury. PSG announced this. The German record champions played the first leg in Paris on Tuesday 4:5 (2:3) lost.

Hakimi is injured in a duel with Laimer

Hakimi suffered the injury shortly before the end in a duel with substitute Konrad Laimer. Because PSG could no longer make substitutions, the full-back moved into the attack. Hakimi could hardly take part in the game and defending seemed impossible due to the injury. Substitute offensive player Senny Mayulu tried his hand at defense for him.

Bavaria is increasingly becoming a kind of feared opponent for Hakimi. The 27-year-old suffered a severe ankle sprain in the 2-1 win in the league after a heavy foul by Luis Diaz and was out for weeks afterwards, while Diaz saw red and was suspended for two games in the premier class.

Bishop and Karl before returning for Bavaria?

Like Hakimi, Diaz was again one of the protagonists of the game on Tuesday evening, even if this time the Colombian only stood out in a positive way – at least from a Bavarian perspective. With his goal to make it 4-5, the winger kept the German record champions’ final dreams alive.

Hakimi’s loss is a bitter setback for PSG. The former Dortmund player is one of the absolute pillars of coach Luis Enrique’s team and, in addition to his defensive qualities, always shines on the offensive. In 31 appearances this season he has three goals and nine assists. In the first leg, Hakimi prepared Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s 4-2 and worked his right wing with a lot of fury.

Meanwhile, FCB can apparently look forward to the return of two injured players for the second leg. Both Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl, who were both missing with muscle injuries, are expected to return to team training later in the week and could therefore be options for the second part of the duel with PSG.
