Apartment uninhabitable after fire in Eindhoven

An apartment on Wouter Hollemanplein in Eindhoven is uninhabitable after a fire raged for a short time on Wednesday evening. The apartment complex was evacuated due to the raging fire.

The first report of the fire came around half past eight. The fire probably started on the balcony of the apartment on the third floor of the building. The residents were not at home, but have now been informed by the fire brigade.

The fire was short but fierce and partly spread inside. Just before nine o’clock the Safety Region announced that the fire had been extinguished. No one was injured in the fire. The street was cordoned off and residents of the complex waited outside on the street until they were allowed back inside.

Three fire engines, an aerial platform and an ambulance responded to the fire.
