Bayern trio breaks two historic marks at once

Bayern suffered a defeat in their away game in Paris. But three stars are once again spot-on – and can be happy about two historic brands.
FC Bayern lost the semi-final first leg in the Champions League. There was a 4-5 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening. Before the second leg next Wednesday, the Munich team still has the best chance of making it to the final.
The offensive trio of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz once again contributed three of Bayern’s four goals in Prinzenpark. The Englishman took the lead with a penalty kick and the Frenchman equalized to make it 2-2. Díaz, in turn, scored the final score after fantastic preparatory work from Kane – and also scored the trio’s 100th goal in all competitions this season.
With his goal, the Colombian broke a historic mark. Because Kane, Olise and Díaz are now the first attacking three-man team in this century to reach this milestone and not play for FC Barcelona or Real Madrid. The attacking trios of the Spanish top clubs had reached the hundred goals seven times (five times Barcelona, twice Real), always with the participation of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
After his goal in Paris, Kane now has 54 goals. Olise, on the other hand, has twenty goals to his name, Díaz already has 26. In the Champions League, the three Bayern stars now all have a double-digit number of direct goal involvements (Kane: 15, Olise: 11, Díaz: 10). That too is historical. Because: It has never happened before that three Munich players were involved in at least ten goals in the premier class within one season.
